He studied at the University of Music and Theatre Hannover and the Cologne University of Music. From 1997 to 2006, he was a lecturer in percussion and rhythmic ear training at the HMT Hannover. Since 2015, he has been a professor for percussion at the Cologne University of Music.<\/p>\n

He has been the director of the Rochus Music School e.V. in Cologne since its founding in 2006 and is the leader of the Ensemble for New Music and the Percussion Ensemble at the Rochus Music School. In recent years, this has resulted in numerous world premieres and concerts.<\/p>\n

He is the artistic director of the Ensemble anthos, which primarily focuses on the works of composer Karlheinz Stockhausen, and has received several first prizes at the international Stockhausen Courses in K\u00fcrten. He is a permanent member of the percussion ensembles MP6 Multipercussion and Ensemble S, as well as the Dutch-German piano-percussion quartet Quatour Attaque and the Musikfabrik NRW.<\/p>\n

He has performed worldwide at major contemporary music festivals, participated in numerous world premieres, and collaborated with leading ensembles for contemporary music and theater productions. Kr\u00e4mer was also a contributor and one of the subconductors at the Cologne opera premiere of Karlheinz Stockhausen\u2019s Sonntag aus Licht<\/em> (world premiere) in 2011.<\/p>\n
