\"\"Klaus Paulsen studied from 1975 to 1979 at the “Bishop’s Church Music School” in Aachen with Viktor Scholz, H. J. Roth, and Herbert Vo\u00df. He then continued his studies at the “Robert Schumann University of Music” in D\u00fcsseldorf with Prof. Paul Heuser, Prof. Heinz Odenthal, and Prof. Herbert Callhoff, completing the State Church Music Examination (A-examination). From 1991 to 2002, he served as the cantor at the special church music position at the main church of St. Lambertus in Erkelenz.<\/p>\n

In 2002, he was appointed cantor at the M\u00fcnster Basilica of St. Vitus and the main parish church of St. Mary\u2019s Assumption in M\u00f6nchengladbach, where he also serves as the artistic director of the basilica concert series. Since 2005, he has been a vocal instructor and head of the Vocal and Music Theater department at the Municipal Music School of M\u00f6nchengladbach.<\/p>\n

Paulsen has focused for many years on Gregorian chant and has contributed numerous solo recordings of Gregorian chants as part of a scientific chant edition (ARS GREGORIANA) funded by the Ministry of Science and Research of North Rhine-Westphalia. Between 1986 and 1989, he was a member of the “Schola Gregoriana” at the Robert Schumann University of Music in D\u00fcsseldorf.
