Plot
Ushguli is a settlement in Upper Svaneti, located in the heart of the Greater Caucasus, surrounded by defensive towers. The life of the inhabitants of this region follows its own rhythm and is defined by hard labor: sheep farming and wool processing, breaking and transporting stone slabs, and withstanding the sometimes unpredictable weather. Here, ancient traditions have been preserved, such as peculiar birth and burial rites. Obtaining the essential salt for both people and livestock is always a dangerous endeavor, but the Soviet state has enabled the construction of a road that will make the region more accessible.
