Action:
The General is a 1926 action-comedy film directed by and starring Buster Keaton. The film is set during the American Civil War and is based on the historically documented Andrews Raid of April 12, 1862. Locomotive engineer Johnnie Gray sets out alone in pursuit of his locomotive General, which has been stolen by Union spies. Through persistence, daring maneuvers, and inventiveness, he manages to reclaim both his engine and the favor of his beloved Annabelle Lee. The General is considered one of the most significant comedies in film history.
